CellarPro Self-Contained – 1800QT-HE

$2,095.00 - $2,245.00
Categories: COOLING UNITS
SKU : 1800QT-HE-37130

CellarPro 1800QT-HE Cooling Units (P/N 37130) deliver powerful, quiet cooling for wine cabinets and small wine cellars located near living areas. Now engineered with R-290 refrigerant, EC fans and aluminum evaporator coils, this 1/6-ton system provides higher efficiency, improved airflow and dependable performance.

Designed as a direct replacement for CellarPro 1800QTL-ECX and 1800QT-ECX, the 1800QT-HE offers precise temperature and humidity control for properly constructed wine cellars.

All air-cooled refrigeration equipment requires a source of fresh air to dissipate heat. The fresh air intake must come from outside the wine cellar and cannot be drawn from the cellar space.

Designed for indoor use only, 1800QT-HE units can operate in ambient conditions from 40F to 95F out of the box with a plug-in design. For operation in colder environments, see the Options & Upgrades tab for recommended modifications.

  • Longer coil life: Aluminum evaporator coils to help resist formicary corrosion and support longer service life
  • Adjustable humidity control: Helps protect cork integrity and wine labels
  • Compact design: Ideal for tight cabinet installs and small cellar environments

Performance Overview

  • Setpoint range: 51F–62F (cellar temperature)
  • Designed to maintain ideal cellar conditions: Helps maintain humidity levels that support cork and label protection
  • Best fit: Small residential wine cellars and wine cabinets requiring 1/6-ton cooling power

Compatibility & Replacement Guide

The 1800QT-HE is a direct replacement for:

  • CellarPro 1800QTL-ECX
  • CellarPro 1800QT-ECX

It is also sized to replace comparable units such as:

  • Breezaire 1060
  • Wine-Mate 1500

The 1800QT-HE cooling unit is an ideal upgrade path for customers searching for:

  • A quieter wine cooling unit
  • A more energy-efficient 1/6-ton wine cellar cooler
  • A modern R-290 wine storage cooling solution

Installation Requirements

For optimum performance and warranty coverage, the 1800QT-HE must be installed in a properly insulated, airtight wine cellar with a vapor barrier.

Recommended conditions and sizing assumptions

  • R-19 insulation or better
  • No glass walls
  • Vapor barrier installed on the warm side
  • Ambient temperature up to 85F (sizing assumption)
  • Access to fresh air from 40F to 95F (condenser air)

Ducting guidelines:

  • Cold side cannot be ducted
  • Hot side can be ducted only when using a CellarPro duct hood and auxiliary fan
  • This model is engineered for indoor use only.

Technical Summary

  • Cooling capacity: 1420 total BTUH, 1170 sensible BTUH
  • Nominal size: 1/6 ton wine cooling system
  • Refrigerant: R-290 (ultra-low GWP)
  • Fan type: EC (electronically commutated)
  • Application: Wine cabinets, small wine cellars
  • Certification: ETL-certified

BTU/h Rating

1420 BTUH total / 1170 Sensible BTUH at 55F

The BTU/h value shown here is a theoretical number. There are often circumstances under which a cellar design may require a larger unit due to variables not accounted for in the formula. For example, these variables could be building materials (such as glass, stone, concrete, etc.) which do not offer the insulation capacity required to maintain the optimal cellar environment. We recommend purchasing a unit with a larger capacity to compensate for these unaccounted-for variables. An undersized unit can lead to premature failure and will most likely prevent the cellar from reaching your desired temperature.

  • R-290 Compressor: delivers higher BTUH with lower energy use and environmentally friendly refrigerant.
  • Coated aluminum evaporator coils resist formicary corrosion, the leading cause of cooling unit failure
  • Energy-efficient components (compressor and EC Fans on both the cold and hot sides), save $41.69 in annual energy costs (assumes 75% runtime and $0.15/kWh)
  • Configurable exhaust: top or rear hot-side exhaust. If clearance is tight, use our rear duct kit (sold separately) to ensure proper airflow.
  • Adjustable humidity control uses high-output compressor and flexible fan cycles to help maintain recommended cellar moisture.
  • Extra-large heat-exchange coils deliver powerful cooling capacity.
  • Intuitive controls: LED display with a digital programmable thermostat. Remote display is available as an upgrade.
  • Convenience modes: Energy Saver, Quick Chill and Auto-Defrost
  • Set point range:  51F to 62F when properly sized.
  • Low vibrations and quiet operation compared to typical units in this class.
  • Audible and visual alarms to safeguard the unit and the cellar.
  • Power: 8-foot cord exits from the rear and plugs into a standard 110V grounded receptacle.
  • Circuit: requires a dedicated 15-amp circuit.
  • Convenience Outlet: integrated 3-amp electric receptacle for a small lamp.
  • Serviceability: removable steel case for easy access to internal components.
  • Warranty: backed by CellarPro's 5-Year Standard Warranty.

An optional Enhanced Warranty (#1835) is available for additional protection.

  • Safety: ETL listed to rigorous UL Standards.

  • On the hot side, this unit intakes from the rear, and offers a choice of top or rear hot exhaust.
  • On the cold side, this unit intakes from the front and exhausts from the bottom (thus the front 8 inches of the cooling unit must be inside the cellar.)
  • The 1800QT-HE requires fresh air intake at the rear of the cooling unit. If sufficient space does not exist to provide sufficient airflow to the rear of the cooling unit, you may need a rear duct kit.
  • 1800 Series cooling units can be installed completely inside the wine cellar when used with our rear duct kit, which allows you to duct the supply and return airflows from the rear of the cooling unit up to 100 equivalent feet (50 feet per duct).
  • Please note: The cold side of the 1800 Series cooling units cannot be ducted, and the hot side can be ducted with 6-inch ducting (no reductions) plus auxiliary fan support, which is included with our our rear duct kit.
  • You must located this unit within the cellar, with the following exception: these units can be installed directly above the wine cellar when used with our front intake hood.
  • For installation in environments below 40F, our compressor heater modification is required.
  • For installation in environments below 20F down to -20F, we recommend our Fan-Cycling Switch (P/N 6972) combined with our compressor heater.
A CellarPro cooling unit must always be used in the upright position, and should never be operated on its side or upside down.
