CellarPro Self-Contained – 1800XT-HE

$2,095.00 - $2,245.00
Categories: COOLING UNITS
SKU : 1800XT-HE-37159

CellarPro 1800XT-HE Cooling Unit (P/N 37159). The 1800XT-HE is built for high-demand installations, delivering 1/5-ton cooling capacity for large wine cabinets and small wine cellars. With R-290 refrigerant, EC fans and aluminum evaporator coils, it delivers powerful performance with increased airflow, reduced environmental impact and energy-saving components.

CellarPro engineered the 1800XT-HE to perform reliably in commercial settings and in difficult conditions. Slightly louder than the CellarPro 1800QT-HE, the 1800XT-HE drives more airflow and delivers approximately 26% more cooling capacity.

All air-cooled refrigeration equipment requires a source of fresh air to dissipate heat. The fresh air intake must come from outside the wine cellar and cannot be drawn from the cellar space.

Designed for indoor use only, 1800XT-HE units can operate in ambient conditions from 40F to 95F out of the box with a plug-in design. For operation in colder environments, see the Options & Upgrades tab for recommended modifications.

CellarPro 1800 Series Enhance Warranty:

CellarPro 1800XT-HE wine cooling units deliver 1642 BTUH total / 1473 BTUH sensible capacity at 55F, providing 1/5-ton cooling for large wine cabinets and small wine cellars. Built for demanding installs, the 1800XT-HE features upgraded fans and robust components that perform well in commercial settings and in unconditioned spaces providing condenser air ranging from 40F to 95F. 1800XT-HE cooling units use low-GWP R-290 refrigerant, high-efficiency EC fans and aluminum evaporator coils to deliver strong cooling performance with lower energy use and reduced environmental impact, plus adjustable humidity control to protect corks and labels.

Key Benefits

  • High-performance cooling: 1642 total / 1473 sensible BTUH @ 55F for reliable temperature and humidity management
  • Low-GWP refrigerant: R-290 refrigerant with ultra-low GWP and zero-ODP
  • EC fan technology: lower energy usage and more powerful airflow
  • Longer coil life: Aluminum evaporator coils to help resist formicary corrosion and support longer service life
  • Adjustable humidity control: Helps protect cork integrity and wine labels
  • Compact design: Designed for large wine cabinets, commercial settings and unconditioned spaces 40F to 95F (condenser air)

Performance Overview

  • Setpoint range: 47F–62F (cellar temperature)
  • Designed to maintain ideal cellar conditions: Helps maintain humidity levels that support cork and label protection
  • Best fit: Recommended for larger wine cabinets, commercial use and difficult installations requiring 1/5-ton cooling power

Compatibility & Replacement Guide

The 1800XT-HE is a direct replacement for:

CellarPro 1800XT-ECX

It is also sized to replace comparable units such as:

  • Breezaire 2200
  • Wine-Mate 2500

The 1800XT-HE cooling unit is a strong upgrade for customers seeking:

  • A cooling unit for larger wine cabinets, commercial settings or unconditioned spaces (40F to 95F condenser air)
  • A more energy-efficient 1/5-ton wine cellar cooler
  • A modern R-290 wine storage cooling solution

Installation Requirements

For optimum performance and warranty coverage, the 1800XT-HE must be installed in a properly insulated, airtight wine cellar with a vapor barrier.

Recommended conditions and sizing assumptions:

  • R-19 insulation or better
  • No glass walls
  • Vapor barrier installed on the warm side
  • Ambient temperature of 85F (sizing assumption)
  • Access to fresh air from 40F to 95F (condenser air)

Ducting guidelines:

  • Cold side cannot be ducted
  • Hot side can be ducted only when using a CellarPro duct hood and auxiliary fan
  • This model is engineered for indoor use only.

Technical Summary

  • Cooling capacity: 1642 total BTUH, 1473 sensible BTUH
  • Nominal size: 1/5 ton wine cooling system
  • Refrigerant: R-290 (ultra-low GWP)
  • Fan type: EC (electronically commutated)
  • Application: Larger wine cabinets, commercial use, difficult environments
  • Certification: ETL-certified

BTU/h Rating

1642 total BTUH, 1473 sensible BTUH

The BTU/h value shown here is a theoretical number. There are often circumstances under which a cellar design may require a larger unit due to variables not accounted for in the formula. For example, these variables could be building materials (such as glass, stone, concrete, etc.) which do not offer the insulation capacity required to maintain the optimal cellar environment. We recommend purchasing a unit with a larger capacity to compensate for these unaccounted-for variables. An undersized unit can lead to premature failure and will most likely prevent the cellar from reaching your desired temperature.

  • R-290 Compressor: delivers higher BTUH with lower energy use and environmentally friendly refrigerant.
  • Now with coated aluminum evaporator coils, which are not subject to formicary corrosion, the leading cause of cooling unit failure
  • Energy-efficient components (compressor and EC Fans on both the cold and hot sides), save $51.94 in annual energy costs (assumes 75% runtime and $0.15/kWh)
  • This unit offers a choice of top or rear hot exhaust. If the unit's location does not provide sufficient room for airflow, you may need to purchase a rear duct kit.
  • Adjustable humidity control combines a high-output compressor with flexible fan cycles to maintain a recommended moisture level inside your cellar.
  • Extra-large coils generate maximum cooling power.
  • The intuitive LED display panel mounted on the evaporator with a digital programmable thermostat is simple and easy to use. A remote thermostat is available as an upgrade.
  • Energy-saver mode, quick-chill mode, and auto-defrost cycle provide convenient solutions to common cellar needs.
  • Temperature set point range is 47F to 62F when the cooling unit is sized correctly.
  • Unit operates with minimal vibrations and less noise than comparable units from competitors.
  • Audible and visual alarms and maintenance-needed indicators protect the cooling unit and the wine cellar.
  • 8-foot power cord exits from the rear and plugs into standard 110V receptacles.
  • A standard dedicated 15-amp circuit is required to power the unit.
  • A 3-amp electric receptacle is provided to run a small lamp.
  • Removable steel case provides access to the internal components for servicing and repair.
  • CellarPro's 5-Year Standard Warranty, the most thorough in the industry, protects the unit against manufacturing defects.
  • An optional Enhanced Warranty (#1835) is available for additional protection.
  • ETL Tested and Certified to rigorous UL Standards for safety.
