The maximum capacity is 8,640 BTU/h (2.53 Kilowatts). Model D088V is a vertical system with a sleek design, ideal for installation in narrow spaces where a small footprint is required, such as in a small mechanical room. Both models are available in a water-cooled configuration. Versatile and self-contained, Wine Guardian ducted wine cooling systems offer maximum flexibility in design and installation. They also provide cooling for any sized area, whether you are storing in a residential, restaurant, or commercial wine cellar. With ducted wine conditioning systems, a grille on the inside wall is connected by insulated flexible ductwork to a self-contained unit outside the wine cellar that contains the evaporator, fans, compressor, condenser, and controls. This system can be placed in an indoor location outside the cellar resulting in a quiet cellar with no obtrusive equipment taking up valuable racking space. Ducted wine room systems are ideal for larger private or commercial wine cellars.

This cooling unit is best in geothermal, cooling tower and lake water applications, and require a year-round source of water. Warm condenser air connections are not required, which makes the water-cooled option a perfect solution when warm condenser air venting isn’t possible.

The BTU/h value shown here is a theoretical number. There are often circumstances under which a cellar design may require a larger unit due to variables not accounted for in the formula. For example, these variables could be building materials (such as glass, stone, concrete, etc.) which do not offer the insulation capacity required to maintain the optimal cellar environment. We recommend purchasing a unit with a larger capacity to compensate for these unaccounted-for variables. An undersized unit can lead to premature failure and will most likely prevent the cellar from reaching your desired temperature.
